Rhody Bball Loses McKoy but Gains Recruits

Yesterday, URI freshman forward, Dominique McKoy recieved his release. Many close to the team are reporting that the freshman will transfer out of URI. I thought that Dom really improved over the course of the year and that it would have been great to see him play under Hurley.
Don’t be too upset Rhody fans. Take a look at Hurley’s recruiting class. Leading the way, Jordan Hare, is a 90 on ESPN. We also are also getting Gilvydas Biruta, where the only thing harder than defending him is pronouncing his name. He is a transfer from Rutgers. Also not official yet, but URI is likely to get Mike Aaman. Mike tried out and scrimmaged with the team last week. Along with some URI alumni such as Delroy James, Marquis Jones, and Will Martel, all of the recruits showed off their stuff. Hurley certainly has his work cut out for him. It’s going to be a fun off-season as we inch closer to a new era in the fall. The era of Hurlsanity!
