They want us to spend so much time and effort “trying to figure them out” or deciding what their text saying “whatever” means, that we become very invested. Eventually when we learn that they have nothing going for them, we’re in too deep. Then they win. So beware ladies, stick to a guy that isn’t “mysterious”.
