Source:Some people Ryan McLincha’s age shuffle down the street in walkers. This 61-year-old just set a world record running a mile in 8 minutes, 44 seconds–while dribbling three basketballs at once. McLincha, of Clio, Mich., is the world’s foremost “drubbler,” a sport he created 19 years ago while working for General Motors. “I actually learned to do it at the gym,” McLincha told The Huffington Post. McLincha has “drubbled” at various Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! museums, on NBC’s “Today Show,” and all the way through the Boston Marathon. He’s also mentioned on a question in Trivial Pursuit.
Why didn’t we see this in the Olympics? For fucks sake, they had Olympic speed walking, handball, and even rhythmic gymnastics. This 61 year old has more talent than most of the athletes in the Olympics. Running an 8 minute, 44 second mile while dribbling 3 basketballs takes a lot more talent then flinging a ribbon around on a gymnastics floor or seeing who can walk the fastest. I would like to see Usain Bolt do a 100 meter dash while dribbling 3 basketballs. With this being said they need to take away the useless events from the Olympics because there is a lot more talent out there that is never even considered in the Olympics.
