I think that its only fair to post about Rusko considering he’ll be blasting beats in the Ryan Center in two days! Rusko is an awesome dubstep DJ from England. I have my tickets and I hope you have yours. I want this show to be crazy. Here is  some of Rusko’s music to get you ready for Thursday:

“It’s time for Tiesto!”

Tiesto just released a new single this week called “Pair of Dice.” It’s already hit the #1 spot on Beatport. It’s pretty catchy and fun to dance to. Raise the volume, and enjoy!

Techno Tuesdays: 3LAU

3LAU is in my top 3 mashup DJs. He is a young kid with a lot of potential. He currently attends Washington University and DJs all over the country Most of his music is free and available for download on his Soundcloud page. Take a listen!

Techno Tuesdays Presents Knife Party

Introducing Knife Party. If you are new to EDM, I highly recommend you check out Knife Party. All of their songs are filled with crazy drops and deep bass. Knife Party consists of Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen. You might recognize the name “Rob Swire” from Ghosts N Stuff which we featured last week. My favorite Knife Party songs are Internet Friends, Centipede, and Antidote (ft Swedish House Mafia). Here’s their Soundcloud:

Techno Tuesdays Presents deadmau5

Joel Zimmerman, AKA deadmau5 (with a lowercase “d”),  has been a major contributor to the EDM community. The Canadian frequently reminds the world that he does not consider himself a DJ and that being a DJ takes no skill. He is a firm supporter of music producers, but not “button pushers” on stage. (He even considers himself a button pusher.) His most popular tracks are “Ghosts n’ stuff” “Some Chords” “Strobe” “Raise your Weapon” and “The Vedlt.” He is a personal favorite. Enjoy!

Techno Tuesdays: Bingo Players

The Bingo Players definitely make my top-5 list of DJs and bands I want to see live. The two Dutch DJs, Paul Bäumer and Maarten Hoogstraten, bring an excitement level that is almost unmatched in the DJ world. Their most popular tracks are “Rattle,” “Cry,” “When I Dip,” and “Mode.” My favorite Bingo Player’s song is “Don’t Blame the Party” which is the official vocal remix of their popular instrumental track, “Mode.” You can download whole sets from their Soundcloud page, which I embedded below.

Techno Tuesdays Presents: Laidback Luke

Laidback Luke is a Dutch producer and DJ. He actually came to Lupos this past spring. He is best known for the song above, Turbulance, with Steve Aoki and Lil Jon. He is dirty dutch by every sense of the word. Check out some of his other tracks and let us know what you think.
