Posted by Frustrated blogger
Found this video and just wanted to note that this dog is a better driver than anyone that is from Rhode Island. Take notes from this dog before you get back on the road.

Why Dogs Chase Laser Pointer Beams
Posted by That Rhody Ram
Source- Dogs (and some cats) instinctively chase these bright-red dots simply because the dots move, said Nicholas Dodman, a professor of animal behavior at Tufts University’s Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Movement automatically stimulates their innate prey drive
, which explains why lower-on-the-food-chain animals such as rodents and rabbits often freeze in place as a survival strategy. Although dogs aren’t so discerning when it comes to color, their eyes contain a high preponderance of light-sensitive cells called rods for top-notch motion detection.

Wow guys, you hear that? I would never have known that unless Professor Dodman from Tufts told me. Dogs chase laser pointers because the dots move. Like, there is no way I would have been able to figure that one out unless I studied at Tufts. If I went to Tufts I would be so happy that my tuition dollars were going towards research to find out why dogs chase laser beams over medical research to cure cancer and HIV. So critical.

Angry Raccoons Chase Down Woman and Beat the F*ck Out of Her
Posted by That Rhody Ram
Source- A Lakewood, Wash. woman was chased and mauled by several raccoons near Fort Steilacoom Park, south of Seattle, Monday, leaving her with about 100 scratches, punctures and bite wounds…”I felt like they were hunting me, ‘taking me down’ pack mentality. There were five of them,” said Lee. She made it about 75 feet to a neighbor’s yard where she was knocked down to the ground and mauled by the raccoons.

Am I the only one who thinks this is absolutely hilarious? I lost in when I read that “taking me down in a pack mentality” line. I would beat the fuck out of any Raccoon that tried to mess with me or my dog. I don’t care how many years of URI breeding these Raccoons had either. I would straight up punch one of those coons in the face! Then my finishing move would be to punt one off a bridge.
