Jane Doze Taking Us into Finals Week
If you need a little energy boost during a long study sesh, look no further than the Jane Doze’s new mix. It’s complete with some awesome beats to ensure an awesome library jam session. Antlers up!

PS: Did I mention that they were smokeshows? Nothing sexier than a smokeshow DJ (or better yet, two)!
URI SEC Actually Takes A Step Backwards And Gets A Country Singer To Come To The Ryan Center
What the fuck!? What the fucking fuck?! That’s gotta be a joke, right? I made my complaint earlier about how stupid bullshit artists are coming here, but when they finally get someone who can play an actual instrument and sing they get a god damn country singer who I’ve never heard of in my life. Were not in fucking Alabama were up in Rhode Island. You know… The Northeast? Where maybe 5 percent of people listen to country music?
Fuck this shit. This better not be the big spring concert because at most this concert will get 200 people. The SEC is lucky that I don’t attend their meetings, and I’m also happy I don’t go to these meetings because I’d go to jail for the murder of the person who thought this would be a good idea. My day has been ruined. Fuck you.

Steve Aoki Taking You Into the Weekend
Ok, here is your Friday night pre-game jam! I’m partly posting this because I’m super excited for Steve Aoki to be coming to URI in the fall. Who wouldn’t be excited? Steve Aoki is the man! He is probably the most energetic DJ on the scene that I know of. I can’t wait for Steve to be popping bottles of champagne into the crowd and crowd surfing on the SS. Aoki!
Here’s a clip from ultra:
Not Another Spring Mix!

http://soundcloud.com/kapslap/kap-slap-spring-break-mix
Introducing Kap Slap, arguably my favorite mash-up artist (3LEAU and Jane Doze are up there too). Kap Slap dropped a terrific album about a month ago, which you can download for free from his Soundcloud. Enjoy the music, and if you have any music requests, send them to RhodyViewBlog@gmail.com.
Rage Big! We do!
Avicii Recap
There was some relief when Avicii finally made it onto the stage last night. Everyone knew there would be no postponement or cancellation. I had a good time last night. I thought he had terrific song selection, with the exception of one thing. He played almost no Dutch music (Tiesto, Hardwell, Afrojack, Laidback Luke, etc.) I think he sampled around 30-60 seconds of Afrojack in the first five minutes of coming on, but if he played any Dutch music, I must have missed it (which is not likely). It was almost all Sweedish music.
Favorite tracks played last night:
Calling (vocal remix)- Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso ft. Ryan Tedder
One side note: I thought that the house of hunger logo was designed a little bit too close to a swastika. I was a bit uncomfortable seeing it the first few times.
