Bon Vue Was the Coldest Place on Earth Last Night
So last night was the first Bon Vue Thursday of the semester. Frustrated Blogger and I knew that it was going to get packed. We wanted to aim to get to the bar around 9:45-10pm. Because we went with a bunch of drunk sluts, we didn’t get to leave the house where we were pregaming ’till 10pm. When we got there, there was a line of about 25 kids ahead of us. The line in the back of the bar was no better. No one was getting in, as the bar had reached capacity. It sucked. We waited in the coldest of cold forever (about 3.5 mins). Then we decided to go to Charlios, got drunk, and had a great night. The end!
PS: Bon Vue would have sucked anyways. A Bon Vue at capacity is like being packed like sardines.
Thirsty Thursdays: Top 5 Mixers for Vodka
Okay, so for all you freshmen/novice drinkers who still need chasers and mixers, read up ’cause this blog’s for you. Your mixer will probably depend on what hard alcohol you’re having it with. For example, you might not want to mix tequila and coke. I’ll break it down by type of booze. Today’s feature is Vodka.
Vodka. It’s pretty much flavorless so you could pick almost anything. Here’s my top choices:
5.Cranberry. I don’t like the cran-man and I’m not a chick on my period so I’m putting this at #5
4.Coke. Coke goes well with almost anything, but for some reason I don’t particularly like mixing it as much with vodka.
3. Red Bull. It tastes nice and it will make you super energetic and horny. Red Bull is expensive and not always readily available. That’s why it gets #3
2. Grapefruit juice. Strong flavor which can either compliment or hide the taste of pure vodka.
1. Soda (seltzer). I find that a good Vodka Soda is a classy, yet tasty drink where you you don’t compromise the taste of vodka. If you are man enough, Kettle 1 and Soda is a sophisticated and classy move.
Thirsty Thursdays: My Personal Favorite- Disaronno
Disaronno Cider:
- 1 part Disaronno
- 1 Gold rum
- 3 parts Apple cider
Disaronno is a classy liquor that you don’t see often at parties. It is a little bit more expensive with a smaller alcohol content but just like That Rhody Ram, if I am going to drink, I am spending some money. I’m not a freshmen anymore, I do not drink Burnetts vodka, or Smirnoff, or anything cheap. Disaronno is a sweet drink that tastes a little bit like candy but it works perfectly with orange juice, coke, milk, ginger ale, or even cranberry juice. It mixes well with most drinks. It is a very easy drink to mix, tastes great, goes down easy, and it is not too expensive.
P.S. This might be a bit of a girly drink, but fact is I will out drink you bastards any day of the week.
